Osteopathy

Manual osteopathy is a non-invasive form of manual therapy that takes a holistic approach to facilitating healing. Osteopathy views the body as a whole unit, recognizing the link between the structures of the body and how it functions. Manual Osteopaths draw on scientific research to assess and treat; therapists utilize a variety of techniques to facilitate healing.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) modalities include acupuncture, cupping therapy, gua sha, and moxibustion. Acupuncture involves the precise placement of needles to stimulate Qi (life force energy). TCM Cupping therapy utilizes glass and non-glass suction cups to stimulate the flow of Qi (life force energy) and blood within the body. According to TCM principles, the suction created by the cups helps open up the body's meridians, promoting better energy circulation and resolving blockages to relieve tension. Gua sha involves applying gentle pressure while scraping the skin, typically using a tool made of jade, horn, or other materials. The scraping action helps release stagnated Qi and blood from the body's tissues, addressing issues such as muscle tension, pain, and inflammation. In TCM, this method is believed also to help expel pathogenic factors and enhance the body's natural healing abilities. Practitioners use moxibustion for improved warmth and circulation within the body by burning an herb called mugwort on specific acupuncture points and areas of the body. These TCM modalities work in harmony to restore balance and promote overall health.

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on approach to evaluating and enhancing the craniosacral system (CSS), which is comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. CST is a complementary treatment that releases tensions deep in the body to help reduce pain, relieve dysfunction, and improve whole-body health and performance. The CSS has the ability to influence every system in the body, such as the musculoskeletal, neurological, immune, digestive, endocrine, etc. Palpation of the CSS allows detection and release of core issues so that the treatment focuses on the cause of dysfunction rather than symptoms. The therapist acts as a therapeutic facilitator, using the least amount of pressure and influence necessary to support the person’s self-empowerment and healing process with compassion and empathy. By facilitating the body's natural and innate healing processes, CST is increasingly used as a preventive healthcare measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease.

How Can CranioSacral Therapy Help?
Because of its ability to influence numerous systems in the body CST is effective as a complementary therapy to help reduce pain, dysfunction and/or symptoms associated with a number of conditions including:

Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Attention Deficit Hearing Disorder (ADHD), Anxiety, Arthritis, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Back and Neck Pain, Birth Trauma, Brain and Spinal Injuries, Brain Fog, Central Nervous System Disorders, Chronic Fatigue, Chronic Pain, Colic, Concussions, Depression, Dyslexia, Emotional Difficulties, Fibromyalgia, Grief, Headaches and Migraines, Heart Palpitations, Insomnia, Immune Disorders, Learning Disabilities, Motor-Coordination Impairments, Neurovascular Disorders, Orthopedic Injuries and Dysfunctions, Parkinson's Disease, Pelvic Pain, Postoperative Cognitive Dysfunction (POCD), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Processing Disorders, Scoliosis, Stress, Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMJD), Tension, and Trauma

As I have grown older, I’ve come to value my health above almost everything else. After many years working as a welder and fabricator, I learned firsthand how physically demanding work can take a toll on the body. It was yoga and massage that helped me stay connected to my posture, movement, and overall well-being—and ultimately inspired me to pursue massage therapy as a profession. I believe that our mindset shapes our experience. Why not believe we can heal? That we can live pain-free? That our bodies are capable of lasting us a long, happy, and healthy life? I see massage as a vital part of that possibility. In my treatments, I aim to create a full-body experience that is both therapeutic and deeply relaxing—where deeper work can be integrated seamlessly into something calming and restorative. I’ve taken additional training in head, face, and foot massage and love incorporating these often-overlooked areas into a session. It’s incredible how much tension we can hold without even realizing it. I also hold a diploma in holistic nutrition, and I’m passionate about the connection between gut health, inflammation, and pain. When appropriate, I love sharing books or podcasts with clients who are interested in deepening their understanding of how lifestyle and diet can support healing from within.

With a background in sports like rugby, dance, taekwondo, and soccer, I’ve always been fascinated by how the body moves, adapts, and recovers. My interest in anatomy was first sparked in high school sports medicine class, and that curiosity quickly evolved into a passion for helping others move better, feel better, and live pain-free.

I’m fascinated by the body’s intricate systems and how everything is interconnected. I’m continuously learning and expanding my knowledge to better support my clients. To deepen my understanding of the body’s natural functions and complex systems, I completed an advanced 3,000-hour massage therapy program.

I specialize in deep tissue massage, sports therapy, fascial work, and trigger point therapy– tailoring each treatment to the individual’s needs, whether that means recovering from injury, managing chronic tension, or improving athletic performance.

My approach is hands-on, focused, and therapeutic- designed to restore function, reduce pain and increase range of motion, so you can return to the activities you love with confidence and ease.

Growing up, I was never far from a basketball court, a gym, or a running track. My world revolved around being an athlete, and movement was my greatest joy. In high school, devastating knee injuries brought that chapter of my life to an abrupt halt. At the time, it felt like the loss of a core part of my identity. Looking back, those injuries were not just challenges—they were the catalyst for my passion for understanding the human body.

I began my career as a Personal Fitness Trainer, where I spent six years supporting clients in reaching their fitness goals. Over time, my curiosity about the body’s capacity to heal and led me to Massage Therapy. I immediately fell in love with the practice. From the very beginning, I was captivated by how the body responds to thoughtful, intentional care. Every treatment is an opportunity to connect, to learn, and to help someone move closer to wellness.

My love for learning drives me to stay updated on the latest research in soft tissue therapy, pain science, and orthopedic assessment. Most recently, I completed my training in Manual Osteopathy, which has deepened my understanding of the body’s intricate systems and how to restore balance and function.

Having lived through my own experiences with injury and autoimmune challenges, I approach every treatment with empathy and a genuine understanding of what it means to live with pain. I know how profoundly it can impact every aspect of life, and I am committed to helping my clients find relief, regain confidence, and feel empowered in their journey to health.

My priority is ensuring that every client receives the care they deserve, whether that’s through me or a trusted colleague. It is an honour to share my passion with all those who enter my treatment room.
